Before giving in to his entrepreneurial spirit by founding his law firm, Belcher Fitzgerald LLP, he practiced law in Boston for the prominent firms, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Goodwin Procter. As an attorney he has been involved in major business and litigation matters, including a multi-billion dollar business transaction as well as an

 

appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

He has negotiated and closed transactions for businesses, big and small. He has defended and prosecuted civil claims of both individuals and large institutions involving all levels of complexity and stakes.

David received his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School where he served as editor-in-chief of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. He received his bachelor of science, cum laude, from Fairfield University with a major in mathematics and a minor in finance.

He has completed MWI's 40-Hour Basic Mediation Training and its Advanced Divorce Mediation Training. He is an active participant in MWI’s pro bono civil court-sponsored mediation program.
